I've always thought Artesian was a group of genetic markers that they decided make a hybrid more drought tolerant and if they find the marker in a new hybrid they'll slap Artesian on it? But I've never had it thoroughly explained to me before. That being said I've found artesian to be more relevant to drought tolerance but still not a huge deal.
