Subject: Wagon Batch Dryer update

King City, Mo
I had asked about drying popcorn a week or so ago.

Ended up finding an 18” 3hp 220v fan.

Got an 18” tube and drilled more small holes in it and added the tubes from
The junk 4” screw in dryers i had that went bad.

Tuesday night my Welder/fab guy got it all mounted after his day job. Wed night i was able to pick a couple hoppers of popcorn and load the wagon.

We have about 19k little 5x7” bags of kettle going out monday and didn't make it to the field to pick popcorn till 8pm.

Ran the fan nonstop and put in the warehouse at night with the door shut.

Added space heater yesterday as it was cool and rainy and left in warehouse shut up to try and burn out humidity and raise temp.

Got it up to 112F per the gauge. Lumberyard didnt have a humidity gauge so ordered one off amazon.

The EMC chart has been really helpful
So thank you to who posted it.

I have tried popping some off the top of the wagon and it works so will tranfer the grain once I am
Not tied up popping or bagging this order.
