South Central MN | We get our rye seed from Albert Lee, would recommend them also.
Last year had wanted to seed millet in one field, picked up the seed, got home and within 15 minutes they called and said hold off on planting... They found pigweed seed in a sample they took. Sure enough 10 days later it came back as Palmer Amaranth and they sent out replacement seed for another variety that was good. Took the contaminated stuff back and made sure it got disposed of. The sample from the seed supplier they got the first millet from said it didn't have the Palmer in it, but they did a second test. Glad they did. | |
