If she can maintain condition enough to breed back let her do it. The math works
300lb @ 2.75 = $825 x 2 = $1650
vs
500lb @ 2.55 = $1275
(prices simply for illustration)

The only thing I see big weaning weights win is coffee shop talk.

I am finishing up a small group of freezer beef calves and which had 2 sets of twins in it that I left on the mama (who bred back). They are weighing about 75lbs hanging back from the others but I am going to kill 7 instead of 5 for this group because of twins. I love twins, its like free money.
