Fairbury, NE (Southeast) | Most shuttle loaders here go to the SW. Was visiting with a friend who lives near Frankfort KS, said they have handled 500k a day multiple times already this fall. That's a chunk for a "fringe" area.
There will always be less operators, been this way for 150 years.
Land cost will come down, cycles have always existed in land. Start up hurtles will be large tho. Lots refer to how easy it was to start up "back in the day" but fail to mention how fast it could disappear without the insurance policies available today.
New operators will come into existing operations, equipment bought over longer periods of time, sure the scale is larger but it has to be.
No question the 20-30k operations are adding ground. Its pretty easy to do in those circumstances. Labor will remain an issue. | |
