North Western IL | Just my two cents, but if all they are providing is feed and bedding, you would have to supply the iron to get them fed, and the fuel for said iron, right?
350 head x .35 = $122/day. I’d think a fair amount of that would be used for diesel if you’re running a TMR.
$122 x 350 days = $42,700/year.
So your costs out of $43G’s would be Machinery, Depreciation, Fuel, Repairs, Building Rent, Your time, possibly vet work?
Not a horrible idea, but I’m not sure I would do it for anything close to .35. But that’s just MY two cents. | |
