The value of the land isn’t going up, the value of the dollar is going down. Therefore, it takes more dollars to buy land. Once you understand this, “high dollar land” will make more sense.
My house was in better condition when it was brand new in 1974 than it is today. However it’s worth 10 times as much today as it was then. Or maybe the US dollar is only worth 1/10th of what it was worth in 1974.
Agree,but in 1974 Russia was are export buddy dad was selling spring wheat for $6.00 bushel barley for 4.50 and land was going up in leaps and bounds. In 1979 my nieghbor sold his land for $1900 and acre 20 year contract for deed at 12% interest,he got his land back in 1985..I own that land now I bought it from my neighbors kids in the mid 90s for $1200 a acre...History repeats it's self over and over even when everybody is sure that...it could not and will never happen again.
