ecmn | Wasn't it John Brecker from UND that had an article about this?I've heard other soil scientists talk about it that you might have ground depending on the type of clay that you can pour on all the potassium in the world and your level in the soil will move very little. Even Albrecht ran into that on a field down south. They applied a bunch for an experiment and it was supposed to move the needle quite a bit and there was zero response. So they thought the applicator went to the wrong field so they had them come out and apply it again and they still had zero response. That was one of the events that changed his mind on the role of retail fertilizer for the farmer
