Subject: Soybean tillage

Whitewater, WI
Looking for soybean ground fall tillage experiences. We typically don't till our harvested soybean ground in the fall unless we strip till it. We usually either no till or work it with a finisher in spring. I have been having "cake" waste applied to fields rotationally and this year the only ground permitted and available will be harvested bean ground. They have to till it in and I'm not a fan of ripping bean ground but they said they can also VT it in at 3-4". I'd like as much residue on top for erosion reasons if possible. We are somewhat flat but a few rolling areas in SE Wisconsin. No major hills but some fields have a slope from one end to another. Mostly Plano loam but we have gravel within a 2'-4' down in most fields. Anyone have experience with a vt tool over bean ground in the fall? Thanks
