Subject: First time farmer

Looking for input and any advise. I am 24 years old with what I would consider a good job. My family has roughly 1000 tillable acres that is all rented out. Grandpa farmed but my dad never did. ( Dad and I have 70 head of cows) I've wanted to start farming but I don't know if its a good decision or how to even get started. I would farm wheat, soybeans, canola, some forages, and possibly barley. What is some equipment I should get first? I would for sure hire out the combining and probably the spraying right away to get started. With interest rates as high as they are, I'm not sure how much of a loan I would even take out. I'm not scared of work I'm just wondering if this can be done in this day and age and I can make a living from it. Thank you again for any advise.
