Clark SD | I posted back in early June about this field that showed the situation at that time. Where i took them pictures was up higher in landscape than where i showed the other day. At that former spot there was not many seeds that emerged at all because the soil was too dry due to the rye drying the soil out in the seed zone. Here is the link to the post back in June.

Now where i took the picture the other day there seems to be a good stand in the green strip, i pulled up a plant and pulled the pods off and weighed them and came up with 102 grams. Then went over and pulled a couple plants next to the green strip where in post from June was the strip that had the fastest emergence. The total pod weight on one plant was 40.5 grams while the other was 21.
