Leesburg, Ohio | Tomcat, air blowing in your eyes is totally the fault of a poor mask fit to your face. So don't blame the machine for a poor-fitting mask or lack of care to adjust your mask correctly.
I suppose it is possible that one could have facial features that makes a good fit more difficult, but there are several types of masks available, and a good Dr./assistant should be able to get you a good fit.
And the hissing you talk about is also an indication of a leak in your machine, and/or the poor fitting mask.
You can make all kinds of excuses for not using your machine, and that will result in two consequences: The first is your declining health, and that only matters to you and your family.
The second consequence is others here reading your unfounded complaints here and deciding to believe them, resulting in THEIR declining health because you talked them into not getting a sleep test and CPAP.
Your results are your business, and I couldn't care less whether you use a CPAP or not.
But please do not try to generalize your results to all users or potential users of CPAP machines by saying or inferring that they don't work. They do work, and I and thousands of others can vouch for better health because of using a CPAP.
