I have a field of continuous no-till corn for +30 years and several slightly less, with a hairy vetch and ryegrass dominated cover mix annually. Physically we have modified the soil so that it does not meet the description of the original soil type. I have not applied an insecticide or fungicide except what comes on the seed and have what seems to be healthy stalks through black layer.
