Central MN here so loss of OM is hard to accomplish. My long term COC fields have proven improved soil health characteristics. Main focus here is water extractable organic carbon. If you look at Haney or PLFA tests its obvious over more standard rotations. I'm a feeder cattle guy so remove residue and spread back with manure. 510/512 disc ripper set to incorporate manure and chop root balls. Non-winged ripper points.

I rotate CRW traits and utilize dry insecticide. Haven't found any major concerns with CRW on sticky traps yet. Reason for continuous corn is predictable soybean yields are difficult. White mold, cyst, aphids. Nothing like spraying aphids and watching the field start to die the next week to SWM. If I would've spent as much time and money trying to grow better soybean yields as I did corn, who knows where I'd be right now. 200 bu + out of 90 day corn, it's pretty easy to pencil if you can store and ride the carry.

My rotational crops are poverty grass and alfalfa.

Slowly transitioning to fall stalk grazing and incorporating cover crops the best we can here. Let the livestock spread their own manure.
