2/3 corn 1/3 beans has been common here. Couple dairy and heifer feeders left in the area that do corn and alfalfa.

Our dirt grows better corn than beans.

As you say it’s worked well for 15 years here, but the last 2 you can pick out every corn on corn field. Disease and more so insect pressure. Ugh. Many of us are back to 50-50 rotation.

Comes on fast.
