Subject: one more thing - hose length

Pittsburg, Kansas

One very simple thing. You can get the hoses in 10' lengths. Some people that claim the noise is a problem from the machine, by having a longer hose it gives more flexibility of where you place the machine. Also a longer hose will allow different placement of the hose. For example at home I keep the machine under the edge of the bed on my side. I route the hose up within our headboard then have an attachment cord above my head about two or three feet high. this allows me to roll over or change positions at night without the hose falling over the edge of the bed to tugging on me when rolling over.

The place we stay at in Bonaire has concrete wall at the head of the bed. Wife carries the 3M sticky hanging hooks (that can pull the tab and remove them without hurting the paint of wall) and puts one above my head and we hang the hose from that. Having an extra 4' of hose allows a person a lot more flexibility for routing. The 6' standard hose sometimes limits a person to putting the machine on a stand or just letting the hose off the side of the bed.

The newer machines will have a setting change for a longer hose (slightly more air resistance), although in practice I have never noticed it made much difference.

Thought this might help other users that have never thought of getting a longer hose.
