South Central MN | If it was a whole plant that made ones like that could have been a rogue cross pollinated squash they got the seeds from.
Saved seeds from some tan colored acorn squash a few years ago, also had white pattypan squash on the other side of the garden. The following year I had a few plants with squash that looked like ghosts. Didn't cut one open to see what the inside looked like but was 99% certain it wasn't going to taste well, so figured it had more decoration value than anything. | |
