Pittsburg, Kansas | Funny you say that about your wife. My wife also slept better after I got my cpap.
She grew up with a dad that snored tremendously (could hear it throughout the house). So snoring she was used to and did not bother her sleeping with me snoring. But what woke her up was me stopping breathing. It was when I quit snoring.....and stopped breathing.....that woke her up. She would worry I would not start breathing and said sometimes it was quite a long while before I would gasp and breath again. Sometimes she felt the need to poke me to start me breathing. Then she could go back to sleep.
The only thing that will bother her a little is if I face her and the exhaust port blows a little air on her face. The new machines with the lower exhaust pressure are a lot better and have a lot lower amount of exhaust through that small hole. But anyway she just rolls over the other direction. We kind of have our routine and it works.
Some people just go with separate bedrooms to get a good nights sleep. Using one room when conjugal visits are requested, LOL. That works good for some people. Fortunately my wife and I have never had that need.
