nw NC | Most of the small cropland fields on our place have produced corn silage for more than 50 years. Only time some of it was not corn for silage, it was sorghum for silage. Many times wheat or barley was planted after corn was chopped. It was also chopped for silage the next spring and then corn was double cropped, again for silage. Lots of dairy manure made it all possible. | |
