Are western iowa and Eastern Nebraska currently as dry or drier than 1 year ago?
I'm an hour northwest of Lincoln. Here, I'd say we're about the same as a year ago on the dryland. A lot of irrigation was run quite late, perhaps with the goal of making sure there was some subsoil next spring.
