Latimer Iowa | Good to know I am not the only one out there. We use manure for most of our fertilizer but locked in our sidedress 32% for 265 a month or two ago.
I won’t lift any 2024 hedges until our crop insurance price/guarantee is set in February. Definitely not smart enough to out guess the market. Seems like every time I try I am wrong. :-). After price is set, “if” dec price drops to 85-90% of the guarantee I will speculate and lift them. Figure I have the insurance protecting my downside at that point. | |
