Latimer Iowa | Haven’t gotten to anything following oats yet, generally plant my late corn after the oats going for yield. In past years corn following oats is 25-50 bushel better than corn following beans. I haven’t planted corn on corn in years so not sure but my past experience matches your in that corn on corn and dry don’t go together.
Being a hedger is fine in any year, have to be happy making a margin per acre, but can really shine when market volatility after crop insurance price is set presents opportunity
