Excede is a excellent choice for navel infections. Hernia repair on a bull calf would be pretty difficult and probably cost prohibitive. I doubt wether the calf will grow out of it, if its this size at such a young age. Some get along fine with a hernia. Its a crap shoot when and if any bowel gets strangulated from the hernia.
