Latimer Iowa
Exactly right Blusteryknoll. We are sitting similarly to you on moisture. We are in an area that traditionally fights excess moisture though. Can be very dry and still get APH yields. If he had followed any of my posts all year would know that these yields are pretty much exactly what we have been expecting. I figure it’s interesting to hear what stuff is actually yielding, not sure why that warrants a snide reply from some.

From what I see after a couple hundred acres guys should get out there and combine and dry it. There will be issues where stalk cannibalism is happening because of dry weather. Yields in North central Iowa will be high enough at current prices crop insurance will likely not be relevant. Harvest is much more pleasant when it’s warm out and not fighting down corn. Doesn’t take much to knock out a few points with a dryer.
