I shimmed some old corrugated perforated bin floor sheets 4" off the floor of a gravity box so it has a full air floor and cut a hole to mount a furnace squirrel cage fan under it. The only thing I did wrong is I didn't put a screen over the fan outlet, so rodents can crawl through the fan and get under the floor if the fan is turned off.
