Subject: RE: Harvest yield report

Latimer, Iowa (north central)
I agree. These fields had 3 ton chicken litter, 50 lbs of 32%, and were bean stubble. The litter was supposed to have 60 units N per ton of which 60% was supposed to be available. 180x60%= 108 units. Plus the 50 as 32% so in theory had 158 units of N applied with a 225 bushel yield goal/target. I don’t think nitrogen was a limiting factor as low ground was 260 bpa.

I do plant some 8-10 year old genetics and they look better than this has.

None of these fields has had any deep tillage for 10 years and no tillage for 8 years.
