These fields had between 9” and 11” since planting. Fields were the driest I have planted them in 25 years too. A few of the big tile mains ran for a month or so this spring otherwise not a lot of water has moved out. We have made a real effort to increase our water holding capacity with cover crops, manure, and notill so hopefully that is paying off some?
