Cen Ks | My wife has some extensive landscape features with lot of perennial flowers, and shrubs around our yard. A lot of the plants are mulched with wood chips with drip tape under the mulch, Some of the perennials are 3-5 years old and seem to do well, The problem is the annual flowers that get planted amongst the perennials each spring, they just don't grow well in that environment. I sent soil samples to Midwest, I got their lawn and garden sample package, (unfortunately it doesn't include a full micro package) The tests and recommendations are listed below. I have no idea how the pH got so high, that's not typical around our yard. Does anybody have some suggestions ? Do annual flowers not like high pH? How can it be lowered? The flower bed with the high OM is a mystery, that's unusually high for our soils. Some cotton bowl compost was mixed with soil when flowerbed was built a few years ago, Is that what make the OM high? TIA
