Subject: RE: How much variation do you see in yield year to year?

Last year I plowed up my wheat and cotton. This year made 35 dryland wheat and didn’t get enough cotton up to plow it up.

Here we can assume we’re going to make 0 or 20 wheat.
Cotton 0 or 500, but more likely 0 to 175, but I’ve seen 1500# dryland cotton a few times.

Irrigation is even less stable. Last year I pumped 12” on wheat and made 10bu. This year pumped about 10 and made 65 or so. I made 0 cotton last year, hope I can make 700 this year, but I started with a goal of 1250.

I have friends that haven’t fired up their cotton strippers in 5 years.
