Cen Ks
The variable yield question is a good question. We have yield all over the board "here". Some years more then others. When I say yield, this means a field avg, not just going by the range of numbers on my yield monitor. An interesting story I heard was a field planted to milo(grain sorghum) it made 60bu/a one year and the following year it made 160bu/a; the only difference was rain. From the stories I hear, far western Ks & eastern Co wheat yields(dryland fallow) can be 0 to 80 over several years.
