| One time In had a trucker who tried to load 500# feeders with out using the gates , NEVER AGAIN on my farm, what a mess! almost had all of them on and the whole group decided it was time to get off the trailer. (one steer reinjured his foo, I did not know it till he went thru the ring, only got about 30-40 cents on the dollar compared to the rest) Also it is too hard without using the trailer gates too get them to fill the front of the trailer up IMO. I load out of a pen and that I fill from the corral with however many will fit the section of the trailer we are loading, they go up an incline to get in the trailer and have a couple of gates to swing to "follow" them in so they cannot go back, works good, I don't think a tub will be fast enough to load a group with, by the time you get the last ones lined up the first ones are ready to get off the trailer, would be OK with a a small number, IMO. | |
