| Here is what I use for waterline shuts offs. You can buy them with stop and drain, I also only buy them with Minneapolis Threads on the top of valve. The reason for threads on top is you can screw on a standpipe, so you don't have to install a culvert to get in and turn valve off. As you can see from picture, I've got two 1" curb stops with the Minneapolis Threads on them. The 3/4" & 1" have 1 1/2" threads on top. You can buy the fancy standpipes or do what I do and just use sch. 40 PVC 1 1/2" FPT x Slip glue fitting and pipe and make my own standpipe. I also put the same fitting on the top of standpipe so you can screw a plug into it. Then make my own water wrench to fit valve head.
In the Ford catalog go to page G-7 you can pictures of the valves

I also use the A Y McDonald valves, their 1" FNPT x FNPT valve with Minneapolis Thread part number is 5131-278 I think this part number is the one with stop and drain. I usually only put in regular curb stops in because I also use them to meter volume to water troughs when numerous troughs on a line. We don't run floats, but free flow water adjusted for volume to number of cattle on them. Some we also just use a plain old sprinkler nozzle 9/64" to regulate flow per gallons depending on pressure.
