They will waste the majority of what he unrolled because they have hay in the ring. If he gets a rain this will smother out the grass. If you teach cows to waste, they waste, a drought will teach a person to conserve what you have. 



Yea that's what my neighbors said, funny thing is those rows of unrolled hay that didn't get cleaned up all the way on the next rotation after 50 days there were these strange green strips through the pasture of grass that was further advanced than what didn't have hay unrolled. I bet next year with a little rain they'll really start to shine.


Sound plan there, let's waste feed today- hope it rains next year to feed cows we sold because we wasted feed.


They're not wasting any more of this crp hay than they would in them dang bale rings everybody loves to keep around on here. But most people on here love dragging the manure spreader out to cleanup all that wasted hay and manure but I'd rather let the cows do that for me than burn fuel like that.
