We cut stocking rates 30% as it didn't rain much in april and may. June was very dry and things looked downright ugly. Had 5-7 in July and the grass really responded. Sitting very well on grass even with below moisture in august and the heat streaks.

For whatever reason native hay never recovered after the july rains. Might have been ahead to mow earlier than we did. Only had 40% crop or less native hay.
