First you really need to define in measurable terms what "soil health" actually is.
Bingo.
Not only do we need to be able to measure it, we need to start with what the goal is and know how the measurement correlates with progress toward the goal.
Minimizing soil loss is a big one, in my opinion, but I wouldn't call it a soil "health" principle - just keeping the soil where it does me the most good. |
