It's been kinda depressing this year hasn't it? On one hand we have record beef prices... on the other we have horrible drought and no pasture so the cost of raising our herd doubles..... can't win.

Cattle look great in your picture.

I planted a 8 acre field of pearl millet this year. It grew decent in the heat and we were able to green chop it a load a day for 45 days... saves our butt with feed. Got us through the worst of it. We got some rains in August finally that help some of the clovers grow this month. Cows were turned back out to pasture this week..should have enough grass to avoid feeding a lot of hay until October now....
