Southern Illinois | It's not actually a lot of data used on your cell plan. Off hand I remember one time at a trade show we ran out caster software on a laptop for 2 days and fed it one entire states CORS system data. For around 50 base stations being connected and running through a Verizon Jetpack it used a couple of gbytes of data. But that was like 50 users all at once and 2 days solid. So break that down to using a couple gbytes in about 2 months of daily use would be about right.
Actual data usage varies based on what message you are getting sent by the CORS system. RTCM 3 uses more data than CMR but has more precise measurements in the data.
Compared to normal web surfing on your phone it will use less. Way less compared to watching videos on your phone. | |
