We put up a contract hog barn a couple years ago with a reputable company/farm an hour north of us. It is working out well the pigs are paying for the barn and then some, plus you figure the benefit of the manure that will cover a couple hundred acres yearly. I don’t know we would have done it if we would have to own the hogs and take on all the risk.
Is it a good time to get into pigs?
