SW WI | I’ve been feeding hay to our small beef cow herd and calves since late June. No….not over pastured, just that damn dry. Usual year is hay fed in sept, early Oct.
Cool spring grasses didn’t get going early…..we really only got 6 weeks of pasture without feeding hay to stretch the pasture. And then there was no stretching…..it just ended.
I’ve seen a lot of what would normally be pasture…now turned into a dirt lot. | |
