Subject: RE: "Soil Health" principles

NW Wisconsin
Corn on Corn to build soil OM along with manure and reducing tillage. Build structure to the soil below the plow layer with Alfalfa.

After seeing what beans on beans or just beans in general does to my soil it doesnt make me really want to grow beans. Soil is exposed for 11 months out of the year with them in 30" rows and erosion is rampant no matter what the tillage practice is. Can still see the effects of that. Has improved in the second year of corn can really see even with the drought that the hilltops are much greener taller and look healthier. Will soil sample again in a year to see the changes.
