Subject: RE: Yield variation in Field 50 to 300 BPA

I was told that from using GPS, the biggest variable in the field is rainfall. but I find that it hard to believe that it may a difference of 150+ BPA. I also read that it takes about 25 inches of rain to make 200 BPA corn. so are irrigated corn fields more even due to controlled water or do the have more uniform soil types?
