I'm feeding 4.5 lbs silage and a pound of ground alfalfa for maintenance ration. Grass hay is fine but your going to need more protein. Closer to lambing I'll add a pound of corn and 1/3 soybean meal. Lactation ration I bump up to 1.25 lbs corn and .66 soybean meal.
How soon can I feed silage to sheep?
