north east IN | First load and there was a two inch piece of rerod sticking out of where the floor raises up 6 inches and I ripped a hole in the front tire on my truck. Packing tractor developed a leak in the valve stem and had to fix that. One truck had to fix the tail gate so it would stay shut. But the big thing is the spout on the chopper broke off and put a hole in the roof and bent the crop divider on the head. At least it didn’t break a window. We still got 1600 tons chopped. Spent all day chopping the outside rows around the fields. Still have a 100 acre field to chop the outside rounds. Will have to leave at 3am in the morning to get parts that should get me back around 9:30
