Kansas | .4 here in E Central Kansas today. First moisture we have had in a long time. We're in a D4 drought here. 75 years old and the driest I have ever seen it in my lifetime. Many of the ponds in the flint hills pastures are dry and cattle had to be pulled off early. Going to be a very short corn and bean crop here this year. It's the first time in My lifetime that we have ever baled soybeans. That's not the best way to harvest beans but in a dry year you do what you have to do. | |
