NW Missouri | I don't have anything for sale, but wanted to comment as we have used several different brands of tractors on 10 x 71 swing away augers over the years for various reasons. Here is how I'd rank them:
Open station Ford 5610 - best one we have used. Plenty big enough and can reach everything from the ground. No clutch safety switch to start.
Case 970 with aftermarket cab and doors on both sides - could climb up onto first step on the right side to reach all controls.
CaseIH (David Brown) 1594 - Has levers on both sides of seat to engage pto. Have to crawl all the way in or reach in from both sides.
Case 70/90 series with factory cabs - have to crawl all the way in.
IH 464 - not big enough. It will work in an emergency, but pulls the guts out of it.
Allis 185 - I hate AC tractors. Terrible road speed and no live power to utilize the tractor the other 10 months of the year. | |
