Subject: Question for the guys that drill their cover crops

Iowa - Floyd County
Do you run drill with the rows(assuming 30” rows/15” drill) and plant in between cover crop strips or drill at a diagonal? I’m only a few years into cover crops, been doing aerial seeding. I like the solid seeding on my cornstalks going to soybeans but I think I’d like the “strips” for corn. My biggest hang up is I’m on 22” rows and I don’t even know if you can get a drill or air seeder to an 11” row spacing. The last couple years have been pretty inconsistent in getting covers to catch with aerial seeding due to lack of moisture, the guys that are putting it in the ground are having a little better catch from what I can see looking around the neighborhood. Any thoughts, suggestions, or advice is appreciated!
