IF those pics are representative of the whole field and you're not dealing with a bunch of cedar trees and other crap, then you're lucky to start with.  I've tried this about every way under the sun, including moldboard.   It's just plain best to grin and bear it for the first crop, spray fall and spring, go slow with planter and combine if you have to.  Probably corn only if you do think there'e enough potential obstacles out there to damage a cutterbar, otherwise soybeans preferred.  Any leveling tillage needed will be far easier and take far less passes to accomplish a good job of after there's been a growing season to decompose the mat of sod out there.   This is not the same animal as plowing down an old stand of alfalfa or clover hay.

Your obstacles in a CRP field may vary.

 



Clay, did you lift for it ?  Have you ever heard of hiring a backhoe or dozer ?
