Why harvest early and spend money on drying if it is under the FCI threshold? ADM has basically lowered the early fall bids. I am not going to worry about the phantom yield loss. It will be probably have the same net and gross if you field dry it and take a yield reduction. My combine is going to be set with the rotor barely getting all the corn off the good ears so I don't have to handle extra bushels.
To do what you are suggesting is Insurance fraud.
Heard on radio some corn from field at about 20-22% in Iowa
