E.Central MN | I worked at the university cultivating field plots, etc when I started college. They used Allis G tractors and International 140 tractors, the visibility of the rows was better with the Allis G. The big problem is those tractors were pretty old even back then (1970's). Seems like the Allis G tractors are worth more to collectors than to vegetable farmers these days. Makes me wonder how much more a modern replacement machine for that specialty market would cost. There weren't that many Allis G units sold in corn/soybean/wheat country back then either which is why collectors seem to be so fascinated with them. | |
