Cattle have a hierarchy for both milling around in the pen, as well as eating. Anytime you mess with them, they have to figure things out again. In some instances, this can be so strong, that if you fill one end of the bunk extra full, and the other end only half for a couple days, you will have some calves bawling they are hungry at one end, with feed not cleaned up on the other. The problem should solve itself in a couple days when they get their new rank/status figured out.
